Refund Policy
Last updated October 15, 2026
Prototype draft. This document is pending legal review before launch.
We want you to be happy with what you bought. This policy explains when we refund Readings, Credits and gift codes, and how your legal withdrawal rights work. Nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer law of the country where you live.
1. Full refunds we always give
- Before you open your Reading. If you have not opened your Reading link yet, you can ask for a full refund.
- Something went wrong on our side. If a Reading fails to generate, arrives incomplete, or is clearly not for the details you entered, we refund in full (or re-generate it if you prefer). A chat answer that fails never uses a Credit.
- Duplicate charges for the same order.
- Unused paid Credits if we close your account without fault on your part, or if we discontinue character chat.
2. After you open a Reading
Readings are personalised digital content delivered immediately. Once you have opened a Reading, we do not normally refund it for change of mind, except where the law gives you a right to withdraw (see sections 3 and 4). If you are unhappy for another reason, write to us anyway: we review every request in good faith.
Used Credits are not refundable. Unused paid Credits can be refunded within 14 days of purchase. Bonus Credits (welcome, birthday, invite) have no cash value.
3. European Union, EEA and United Kingdom: 14-day withdrawal right
As a consumer, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase without giving a reason.
For Readings and Credits, which are digital content supplied right away, you lose this right once supply begins, but only if before payment you (a) expressly asked us to begin supply immediately, and (b) acknowledged that you would lose your withdrawal right. We ask for this with a checkbox at checkout and confirm it in your receipt email.
- If you did not tick that box, or we did not send the confirmation, you keep the 14-day right and we refund in full if you withdraw within 14 days of purchase.
- Unused Credits: you may withdraw from a Credit pack within 14 days if you have not used any of its Credits.
To withdraw, send a clear statement to [CONTACT EMAIL] (for example: "I withdraw from my purchase of [product], order [number], made on [date]"), or use the model form below. We refund within 14 days using the original payment method, at no cost to you.
*Model withdrawal form:* To MJ Generation LLC, [ADDRESS], [CONTACT EMAIL]: I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the supply of the following digital content: [product], ordered on [date], order number [number]. Name: [ ] · Email used at checkout: [ ] · Date: [ ].
4. Brazil: 7-day right of withdrawal (CDC, art. 49)
If you are a consumer in Brazil, you may withdraw from any purchase made on Fatessia within 7 days of payment, under article 49 of the Consumer Defence Code (Law 8,078/1990). This applies even if you have already opened your Reading. We refund the full amount paid, immediately and adjusted as required by law, using the original payment method (for Pix, by Pix to the paying account). To use this right, email [CONTACT EMAIL] or use the help form, with your order number.
5. Mexico
If you are a consumer in Mexico, you have the rights given by the Federal Consumer Protection Law (Ley Federal de Protección al Consumidor). You may revoke your purchase within 5 business days of the contract without any charge or penalty (Ley Federal de Protección al Consumidor, art. 56), and we will refund you in full. If a Reading is defective or not as described, we refund in full. You can contact PROFECO (gob.mx/profeco) if we do not resolve your request.
6. Korea: 7-day withdrawal right
If you are a consumer in Korea, you may normally withdraw from an online purchase within 7 days of the contract or of receiving the content, under article 17(1) of the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce.
A Reading is digital content supplied right away. You lose this right once supply begins, but only if we told you before payment that withdrawal would no longer be possible and you agreed to immediate supply. We ask for that with a checkbox at checkout and confirm it in your receipt email (art. 17(2)5 and art. 17(3)).
- If you did not tick that box, you keep the 7-day right and we refund in full.
- If your order contains parts we have not supplied yet, the 7-day right still applies to those parts.
- Credit packs: you may withdraw within 7 days if you have not used any Credit from the pack.
Our seller details, including the business registration and mail-order filing numbers, are on the Seller Information page (/ko/legal/seller).
7. Japan: our return terms
Mail-order sales in Japan have no statutory cooling-off period. The seller's own return terms apply, and a seller that states none must accept a return within 8 days (Act on Specified Commercial Transactions, art. 15-3).
Our return terms are these. A Reading is digital content delivered immediately. Once delivery has begun — that is, once we have sent you the link — the sale is final and we do not accept a return or a cancellation for a change of mind. We ask you to agree to immediate delivery with a checkbox before payment. Sections 1 and 2 above still apply in full: if we fail to deliver, deliver something incomplete, or deliver something that plainly does not match what you entered, we refund the whole amount. Unused paid Credits are refundable within 14 days of purchase.
The statutory disclosure is on the Specified Commercial Transactions page (/ja/legal/tokushoho).
8. Taiwan: 7-day right and its exception
If you are a consumer in Taiwan, a distance purchase normally carries a 7-day right to rescind the contract without giving a reason, under article 19 of the Consumer Protection Act.
Digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, and an online service that is complete as soon as it is supplied, are a reasonable exception to that right when they are supplied with your prior consent (Regulations on Reasonable Exceptions to the Right of Rescission in Distance Sales, art. 2(5)). A Reading is both. We ask for that consent with a checkbox before payment. If you did not give it, you keep the 7-day right and we refund in full.
9. Hong Kong
Hong Kong law gives no general cooling-off period for a purchase like this, so sections 1 and 2 above are what apply: a full refund before you open a Reading, a full refund if something went wrong on our side, and a good-faith review of anything else. Nothing in this policy affects your rights under the Sale of Goods Ordinance, the Supply of Services (Implied Terms) Ordinance or the Trade Descriptions Ordinance.
10. Other countries
If the law where you live gives you more rights than this policy, those rights apply.
11. How to ask for a refund
Email [CONTACT EMAIL] from the address you used at checkout, or use the form in the help center, with your order number. We answer within 3 business days. Refunds go back to the original payment method; your bank may take 5–10 business days to show it. After a refund, the Reading link stops working and refunded Credits are removed.
12. Chargebacks
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank; we can usually fix the problem faster. Disputing a charge does not affect your statutory rights.
