Year of the Rabbit
Rabbit: gentle · tactful · refined
Basics
The Rabbit is the 4th sign of the cycle, a yin wood branch in Korean Saju.
Traditional luck for the Rabbit: numbers 3 and 8, colours green and teal, direction east.
Recent Rabbit years: 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011, 2023. In Saju the year changes at Ipchun (around 4 February), so a January birthday in a Rabbit calendar year can still belong to the animal before the Rabbit.
Personality
People born in a Rabbit year are often described as gentle, tactful and refined.
The Rabbit's growth area is letting the refined streak rest when it doesn't serve them.
2026 Outlook
2026 is a fire horse year; for the Rabbit, the Horse is neutral for the Rabbit, so results follow effort.
2027 is a fire goat year; for the Rabbit, the Goat belongs to the same harmony group, so teamwork pays off.
Compatibility
The Rabbit pairs most easily with the Dog, Pig and Goat, and has to work harder with the Monkey and Rooster.
Your animal is only one pillar
Your Rabbit sign is just the year pillar; Korean Saju adds the month, day and hour, which is why two Rabbit people can read very differently.
