The Pig is the 12th sign of the cycle, a yang water branch in Korean Saju.
Traditional luck for the Pig: numbers 1 and 6, colours black and navy, direction north.
Recent Pig years: 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007, 2019, 2031. In Saju the year changes at Ipchun (around 4 February), so a January birthday in a Pig calendar year can still belong to the animal before the Pig.
