Cosmic Net
Cosmic Net is one of the symbolic stars a chart can carry, and like every star it is flavour rather than a verdict.
What it is
Heaven’s net and earth’s snare: being inside something that does not come untied quickly.
What the old texts say
Read as blockage and entanglement, and the halves were weighted differently for men and for women, which this reading drops. Older books computed it from the sound element of the year pillar; the branch-pair version in common use today is the modern shortcut, which is why this star sits on the softest ground of the set.
Korean practice does not agree on how Cosmic Net is counted, so two readers can honestly disagree about whether you carry it at all.
How we read it now
Patience with complicated things: following a tangle to the end, and understanding systems and rules well enough to work inside them.
In love
Starts carefully and thinks a great deal before saying anything. Thinking it through out loud, with the other person, beats thinking it through alone.
At work
Research, law and administration, compliance, casework: structures that other people find too tangled to enter.
