Needle Precision
Needle Precision is one of the symbolic stars a chart can carry, and like every star it is flavour rather than a verdict.
What it is
The hanging needle: characters written with a sharp downward stroke, read as precision.
What the old texts say
This one rests on the shape of the written character rather than on element theory, which is why its footing is the weakest of the stars here, and schools disagree over which characters count. The classical verse also sets a threshold of several such characters before it is read at all.
Korean practice does not agree on how Needle Precision is counted, so two readers can honestly disagree about whether you carry it at all.
