In one sentence
A twelve-step cycle, from Birth to Nurture, describing the phase a stem is in at a given branch.
How it is used
It is a shape of energy and not a life expectancy: the quiet stages describe rest, storage and gathering, the loud ones describe push and visibility. Readers put it beside the Ten Gods to say how a star is behaving, since a wealth star at a quiet stage works nothing like the same star at a peak. The stage names sound literal and are not: Stillness and Storehouse are phases of a cycle that keeps turning.
